Pee man!

こちら、誰が見てもわかる、ピーマン。次男に日本語の本（１歳レベル。笑）を読んでいてあげると、ピーマンが登場した、「ピーマン」って言うと、彼は爆笑！！！

「ピーマンって、おしっこ男？」ってね！！！

確かに！！Ｐｅｅ（おしっこ）Ｍａｎ（男）に聞こえる！

子供って、新鮮ね。

I was reading Japanese book to my son and green pepper was on the book. I read "peeman" which is  green pepper in Japanese.

He started to laugh so hard and asked me "Mommy, pepper is a Pee Man!?"

OH! I didn't realize that!!! LOL

We use KATAKANA カタカナ for Western words that can't be translated to Japanese but we pronounce it with Japanese accent. Peeman is written in Katakana, so back in days, people thought Peeman was the name of green pepper!? Weird but funny!
