初体験

かれこれ、日本を出てから１３年・・・・１４年目？だけど、今日初めて親戚からお手紙を受け取りました。従兄弟が年賀状をくれたり、もちろん家族やおじいちゃまが手紙を出してくれた事はあるけど（Ｅｍａｉｌとかはしょっちゅうだけど）、叔母（それも血の繋がっていない叔母さん）が手紙を出してくれたよ。

とても感動！！！大好きな（そうだったの？）オードリーヘップバーンのかわいいレターセットでした。中には、子供達へのお年玉まで・・・！

ありがとう、叔母さん。

やっぱり電話やＥｍａｉｌより、手書きの手紙って、じ～～～んってきちゃうね。私もお昼寝しすぎて目ががんがんにさえてるから、たまには意外な人達（って、誰だろう？）に手紙でも出しちゃおうかな？

お節介

お節介って、こう書くんだね。知らなかったよ。また私の知識（常識？）が一つ増えた。えっへん。

そうそう・・・お節介って英語でなんていうんだろうねえ？

昨日、日本語の先生の息子の事をＢｌｏｇに書いている時、私としては「アドバイスをあげるお節介をしたかったけど、断られちゃった」って、英語で書きたかったんだけど、なんかその場合のお節介っていう動詞がどうしても思いつかなくって、Ｅｘｃｉｔｅ和英辞典（Ｏｎｌｉｎｅ）で見たら、

と、ありました。ほんじゃあ、このＰｏｋｅ　ｏｎｅ’ｓ　ｎｏｓｅってのを使ってみっか～！と思い、まずは、I was going to poke HIS noseうんちゃらかんちゃら・・・って書いてＰｕｂｌｉｓｈ！でも布団に入った後も、あの、Ｏｎｅ’ｓってのは、ＨＩＳじゃなく、この場合ＭＹだったんだろうなあ・・・と、すんごい気になって、夢にまで出てきてしまった。朝起きるとまずＣｏｍｐｕｔｅｒを立ち上げるんだけど、弁当作りも無視して（ちゃんと作りましたけどね！）ＨｉｓをＭｙに・・・。でも弁当作りをしながら、やっぱりこの英語変！聞いた事ないし、なんかふにおちない。（この場合、この「ふ」は、どういう漢字なんだろう？英語もやばいけど、日本語もやばいわ）なので、ダーリンに、こうこうこうで・・・と、一生懸命説明したけど、Ｂｒｅａｋ　ｉｔ　ｄｏｗｎしたＳｅｎｔｅｎｃｅしか出てこなく、これ！と言った熟語みたいなのがないのよねえ・・・。

基本的に、私自称お節介おばさんだから、ちょっとマスターしたいわ、お節介Ｉｎ　Ｅｎｇｌｉｓｈ！

だれか、助けて。もっと本を読まないとね。最近（も）節約家さんだから、新しい本とかも買ってなかったから、ちょっと週末はＢａｒｎｅｓ　ａｎｄ　Ｎｏｂｌｅｓに繰り出して、素敵言葉発見の旅に出ますわ。（自分の世界でね）

Play date with a player X!

X enjoyed his play date with 2 girls again! He is usually around 9~10 years old boys (because of his brother) but he has been hanging around with young girls lately! Please be a gentleman, that's all what I ask for from my sons!!

Ｋａｒａｔｅ　ｋｉｄｓ兄弟の家にて。ここ、かなり豪邸。引越しおめでとう。これからも酒持参でしょっちゅういくからね～！今度は、勝手に風呂にでも入りに行こうかしらん？お酒とチーズとフルーツ届けてくれる(風呂に）？泡風呂にしておくから、目に悪くないようにするからさ。化粧も落とさないよ。風呂からでたら、ビールに鍋かね？想像は、ふくらむよ～！

この写真・・・本当、父親にそっくりだなあ。普段はミーにそっくりって思うけど、ふとした表情が本当、似てる！いいところだけ似るんだよ～！！

Ｔ君、この写真かなりいけてるね。痩せてきて、男前になってきたわ。この子、天才としか思えないほど、絵が上手なの。写真撮ってくればよかった！

When I was at my son's Japanese class today, the teacher's older son, about 18 years old, was making something in the kitchen....


It was half greentea and half strawberry cake!

I am SO jealous!

Even though his cake seemed it would never be baked (it was too watery, he said he added milk in addition to the recipe) but it doesn't matter. The thought of baking for his GF is already sweet enough!!!

I wanted to suggest some helpful cooking tips but he said to me, "Leave me alone!"

忙しくない！

会う人、会う人（特に日本人）、皆忙しいって言うし、本当に忙しそう。忙しくない人は、それなりに自分を磨く為になんかしてて、それまた忙しそうなのよね。

私もよく「さっちゃん、忙しいでしょ？」なんていわれちゃうんだけど、全然！育児も家事も適当だし、自分を磨く事もしてない。決して感心する生活はしていないのだ。

最近、Ｖｏｌｕｎｔｅｅｒなんてしちゃって、さらに「忙しそうだね」って言われるけど、別に責任がある仕事をしてるわけじゃないから、疲れないし、育児の息抜きには嬉しい行事。楽しみながらＶｏｌｕｎｔｅｅｒ出来るって、理想的だわ。私、本当にナイチンゲールなのかも。（おいっ！）

忙しくなりたいけど、なんか忙しいと言うと、窮屈な感じがするから、本当に忙しくなったら、忙しいって言うのをひかえようと思う。にっこり笑って「人生楽しんでるよ。」って言っちゃうんだ。大人なわ・た・し！

まあ、今でも十分楽しんでるんだけど、普通の人が２０代にする事をしなかった私は、世間からちょっと遅れ者。３０代が私の２０代だと思って、楽しみたいな。ほら、２０代って仕事とかなれないで大変なんだろうけど、皆すっごい輝いてるじゃない？ドラマとか見ても、仕事帰りお洒落なバーでいつもの友達と文句言いあったり、小旅行に行ったり・・・。(別にそれがしたいってわけじゃないけど）

忙しくないので、皆遊んでね。ＮＹに遊びに来てね。ほんじゃ、またね。お出かけしてくるよ。

Any improvement?

At the beginning of year, Japanese children do this....how do you say? Calligraphy? My older one seemed excited when he found out he could do this at Japanese class today but he had no patient. He is supposed to be very calmed and take time to draw each line/stroke/whatever others are called...but he just wanted to hurry up like always. I was little bit disappointed but my parents have been telling me my handwriting is very bad nowadays, though it was never good, so I don't have any right to judge him!

Fun day!

On New Year's day....we did nothing! Woke up around noon, had mochi my friend made for brunch and leftover for dinner. We were all in pajamas all day long! What a lazy family!!!!!

So, on the second, I demanded to go to restaurant for brunch at Fairway. Their food is SO good! And usually BIG, we ordered 2 plates hoping it will be more than enough but the food was so small. Did my stomach become American size or American size became Japanese size?

Hey, but it was still scrumptious! (By the way, I didn't know the word SCRUMPTIOUS but I learned from watching Sesame Street with baby! It's such a cute word! I am going to use the word a lot from now on!)

After grocery shopping (don't you think grocery is getting more expensive everyday? We just bought few things and it was already $100!), we headed to friends' house!

Her blog is amazing. She records everything she does...I can never do that. I have some secret ...! (hehehe) She already blogged about her party also! Check it out! ;)

G was kinda bored but once he found out he could play PS3...it was totally different story! Their huge (60inch?) TV was something else! When we move, we make sure we buy huge dining/activity table and TV!

Not to forget to mention, we stopped by Baskin and Robbins to have ice cream in the very cold weather! I am the ice cream lover!!!!
