Dear Hamehameha Island
I broke the rule despite of the horrible weather...
I took G to sledding today.
I took G and X to dance class also.
I was so active.
I made 2 kinds of desserts, spanish chicken stew, and beans.
I feel like I am Japanese islander now.
Love
Sachiko, I am an islander of Manhattan after all....!
Dance Class
This is from last year...
But this year....who enjoyed most?
And this is today...
She is very famous dancer/teacher in Japan! G loves her!!! I wish she is here to teach him everyday!!! Please come back soon again! But this year....who enjoyed most?

Here comes MONSTER snowstorm!
I was going to my friend's, this is her blog, reading at kids book store today but Fox 5 said...
Monster snowstorm is coming.
(and I keep telling people it would be probably HAMSTER size compare to real snow storm in upstate! I spent 2 years in Buffalo, so I know how the real snow storm is)
I usually go outside no matter what the weather is but since I have a small child (I think my baby is not "baby" anymore), I have to be careful, especially this little one catches cold very easily and I need to take older one (and little one) to karate later on today.... So, I am at home in PJ's ( I still don't know why there is apostrophe between j and s. Any explanation?) looking at snow falling and singing Kamehameha song with my toddler.
There is song about Kamehameha (is it Hawaiian?) island in Japan, it goes like this...(this is my poor translation)
Kids in Kamehameha island don't like to go to school.
If there is any wind, they go late.
If there is any rain, they don't go to school at all.
I feel like Kamehameha islander to cancel my plan because of the weather. But I will do my original version...
If there is any snow, they eat and sleep....
Good night, everyone. I just ate left over of shrimp fettuccine and now off to nap with my baby...ups, my little prince, no more baby!
I wonder if I am really from the island, called Japan, where people work so hard. I am too lazy to be one of them!
PS It is Hawaiian! I just found picture of Kamehameha king! And...I just found out it wasn't Kamehameha but Hamehameha....it's an imaginary island. (it would be big issue if it was Kamehameha!)

Shining like diamond
If I am shining like the sunshine (who said that? ), this lady, on the left side above me, is shining like diamond.
She is moving to Seattle!!! (and her darling bought her HUGE 4 BD house with a garage that could fit at least 3 cars and cherry blossom in the backyard)
It's so sad to say Bye, which I had so many last few years because of this bad economy (who can afford to live in NYC?), but this one is a good one!
Good luck, beautiful friend of mine! I will miss you so much but I know you will be so happy there!!!

Publishing Party
Publishing party...
Party means...
Eat, drink, and have fun?
But this party....
Yes, we ate and had some drink (soft-drink. Not coffee nor alcohol allowed) but no fun...
It was my older son's first publishing party from this school year but...it was not a party but just....parents walk around, read what kids wrote and write comments.
This is America, time to entertain! Let kids shine in front of parents!!!
I was so disappointed. I thought something else was coming, so I didn't take many pictures and when I realized I didn't take pictures, teacher was already kicking us out because kids were heading to science class or something.
But remember, mommy is always proud of you, son. You are doing very good. I know you are smart and someday to be a gentleman. I love you, my 4th grader!
